Etty Yaniv’s Residency

During her residency, Yaniv worked on a series of installations called "Curios" which were presented in the exhibition “Two Solo Projects”. The works recalled the impressions gained during her visit to Georgia and her research into the specifities of the museum. Yaniv utilized found museum cases (not part of the collection) to create assemblages made of materials including assorted fabrics, objects she found on site, as well as photos and paintings she created during her stay. In her installation work Etty “draws upon patterns from nature such as air turbulence, ocean currents, turbid water and sediments to form abstracted landscapes made of discarded materials…”
