The museum offers its visitors educational programs based on individual collections, tailored for different age groups. Participants Si allega l'incarico will have an opportunity to learn more about the collections through the theoretical and practical activities.
A maximum of 2 teachers will be admitted to school programs for free. If the accompanying parent wants to visit, he must buy a standard 12 GEL ticket.

pre school programs
For children from 3 to 6 years old
"I turned into a butterfly."
The program is designed for preschool-aged children (kindergarten students). The children will explore the permanent exhibition space and learn about the life cycle of the silkworm butterfly in a fun and easy-to-understand way. As a hands-on activity, they will color an illustration depicting the silkworm's life cycle.
Beneficiaries: children aged 3-6 years
Program fee: 10 GEL
Program duration: 45 minutes

"The Power of Colors"
The program is based on the museum’s collection of natural dyes. Participants will observe natural and chemical dyes, discuss primary, secondary, and mixed colors, and in the practical part, they will create an optical bookmark. Additionally, they will receive commemorative brochures.
Program duration: 60-70 minutes
"4 Lives"
As part of the program, schools have the opportunity to organize an off-site lesson at the museum, where students will learn about the life cycle of the silkworm through visual materials and participate in a fun and educational activity. Participants will also illustrate a booklet by hand, which will be given to them as a gift from the museum.
Students of this age have similar material in their school curriculum.

The Secret of Silk
The program is designed for students in grades VIII–X. Its main goal is to introduce students to the biological, historical, and cultural aspects of sericulture, as well as the significance of the museum’s establishment and the entire process of silk production. Through an interactive approach, participants will explore the museum’s exhibition space, while turning theoretical knowledge into a practical game will help them better understand and remember the information.
Duration: 60–90 minutes
The Butterfly Effect
The program is designed for high school students. The main focus is on genetics, biology, and biodiversity. Students will learn about the domestication history of the mulberry silkworm; using examples from the museum’s park collection and mulberry tree varieties, they will explore the process of creating new species and hybrids. They will also have the opportunity to compare exhibits of domesticated and wild silkworms.
In the practical part of the program, participants will make a moving butterfly souvenir.

For family
"Your Museum Collection"
"Your Museum Collection" is a family program specifically designed for those who wish to spend their free time in an enjoyable and educational environment with their family.
The program is based on the core exhibition space of the State Silk Museum. Using specific exhibits in this environment, family members can create their own museum collection using their hands and imagination, which they can take home as a souvenir from the museum.

Family Program with Games
A family program designed for those who want to spend their free time with family in a pleasant and, most importantly, educational environment.
The main part of the program includes a tour of the museum’s main exhibition space followed by fun and educational games. The board games are created within the museum, based on the museum’s collections, and participants can choose their preferred activity.
