Welcome to the State Silk Museum. Founded in 1887, it is one of the oldest among the few silk museums worldwide.
The museum holds around 40 000 objects from 50 different countries.
Visitors can enjoy permanent and temporary exhibitions, book a visit to the library, sign up for educational programs and explore our shop.

Standard ticket price: 12 ₾
Ticket price for students and pensioners: 5 ₾
A free visit to the museum will be available for the disadvantaged and disabled as wll as members of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) and licensed guides. Visiting the Museum is free for everyone on the first Wednesday of each month.
Guide service: 40₾ added to the ticket fee.

Visiting the museum without a program for school groups: 5 ₾ per student added to the guide fee (40₾) ((Maximum 2 teachers will enter for free. If parents want to visit, they must buy a standard 12 GEL ticket).

The museum is located between Dinamo Arena and Mushtaidi Garden. It is also close to the former Theatre of Music and Drama.
To visit the museum, you can use public transportation:
- Metro: The museum is a 10-minute walk from Tsereteli Metro Station.
- Buses: 320, 306, 308, 311, 315, 327, 381, 384, 386.
- Minibusses: 536, 431, 541, 551, 476, 504.
Nearby bus stops are: Boris Paichadze National Stadium and the Theatre of Music and Drama.
The museum is wheelchair accessible. Only disabled people and their accompanying persons can use the elevator in the specially built space at the back of the building.
