“…inbetween” was a solo exhibition by a New York-based Georgian artist Lvean Mindiashvili, which consisted of an installation created with pigmented plaster sculptures and jacquard vowed tapestries. The physical nature of his chosen materials responded to the central themes in his practice, including the transitional state of today’s world in an unknown present and the fragility of all possible paradigms, notions or values.
“Curios” was a site-specific exhibition of dimensional installations and interventions by the Israeli-born, Brooklyn-based artist Etty Yaniv, which took place at the Tbilisi State Silk Museum library. During her art residency at the museum, Yaniv utilized found museum cases to create assemblages, each of which showed a different narrative representing the artist’s journey through Georgian landscapes and her reflections on textures, architecture, and history.
