Museum and the River

Genius Loci Tbilisi is an initiative that explores the phenomenon of the spirit of place, collective memory, and spatial experience within the context of Tbilisi. The exhibition presents the river as the city’s physical, historical, and symbolic axis, and examines its relationship with the Silk Museum. The Mtkvari reflects a living and dynamic system through which the city is continuously shaped as a multilayered and evolving organism.
The exhibition itself is a continuous and evolving process. Over several months, the exposition will gradually expand through the materials produced during the ongoing research.
