Whether or not Textile is an Art

The State Silk Museum created a course of lectures “Whether or not Textile is an Art”.

This educational initiative was born after a public lecture of Beatrijs Sterk, former president of the European Textile Network (ETN), who spoke about the challenges and influences of textile in contemporary art. The course aimed to define the importance of textile in today’s reality. As part of this initiative the museum invited textile artists for monthly thematic presentations, who introduced to the audience their work and experience in this field.
