The museum houses a collection of silk threads and skeins of the 19th and 20th centuries, originating from Europe, Asia and Caucasus.
The skeins are reeled from the diverse species and varieties of silk cocoons and differ from each other in several aspects - quality, color, touch and knot shape.
The collection also includes samples of dyed threads created in the dyeing laboratory of the Caucasian Sericulture Station, as a result of Vladimer Ivanov’s experiments.
