Night Intervention was a direct response to the architecture, history and the purpose of the Silk Museum. Inspired by the Petit Chatelet nature of the building, artists created objects that might be reminiscent of dilapidated chandeliers, old mirrors, or fireplace stands. These objects attempted to “replace” imaginary missing objects that marked the shattering terrain between natural and manmade, resembling the process of silk production.
The exhibition was created as a result of the artist and curator residency in the museum.
