Dilyara Kaipova’s solo exhibition

The exhibition reflected on issues of national self-identification, the intervention of ‘alien bodies’ into national culture and the urgent globalization processes of the modern world. It included Kaipova’s staged photography and a slideshow of art objects in the interiors and exteriors of traditional Uzbek houses. The exhibition combined traditional art with contemporary artistic practices, and also conveyed a certain irony while exploring questions about ‘familiar’ and ‘alien’ images.
