Negatives
Unique photo archives stored in the museum (photos and negatives) span the period from the late 19th through the 20th century.
The photographic material present the building of the sericulture station, the process of leaf preparation, test feeding of worms (1896), cross-breeding of butterflies (1905), placing silkworm in boxes (1893), weaving striped rugs (1893), gender selection of cocoons by means of a special facility designed by Ugrekhelidze (1950s), etc.
 
The archive of the famous photographer Konstantin Zanis contains unique ethnographic materials.
 
The collection of photos and negatives need further study. The museum plans to print photos from old glass negatives, digitalize the material and catalogue the archives, as well as to arrange photo exhibitions.
