Like a Steel Thread
Silk Road Forum
Carpet festival 2016
The State Silk Museum displayed its collection of laces in an exhibition "Like a Steel Thread" at the Presidential Palace on March 25 2016.

The lace collection is from Munich, Germany and brings together approximately 400 patterns, dating back to the beginning of the XX century and produced in a little company established by Rosa Klauber. When the company first started, most laces were handmade, but soon it became possible to weave them on newly invented English looms and produce different laces.

Rosa Klauber was seized by the Nazis regime and the Klauberfamily has moved to the USA. Rosa Klauber’s grandchildren are still in this business today
